As a fulltime Linux system engineer, you will be joining our IT Operations Team which is responsible for the running all web and mobile related ESL products. Your organizational, communicational and technical skills help our infrastructure be even more safe and performant.
Must haves:
• 1-3 years’ experience with distributed Linux administration, configuration/deployment and troubleshooting of Linux servers, common web servers and database technologies. If you don't have 3 years of experience, but blow us away with your skills, we'll consider you
• Qualified degree in IT, 3 years apprenticeship or comparable qualification
• Analytic, communicative and strategic abilities as well as a talent for organization
• A high sense of responsibility and acting independently
• Interest in newest technologies and open to work with a broad variety of hardware / products
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Expert level knowledge of Debian Linux
• Experienced with CloudServices such as AWS, Azure, Softlayer
• Familiar with virtualization such as Xen, KVM
• Automation experience such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible
• Basic level knowledge of Ruby, PHP
• Advanced level knowledge of Bash
• Nagios, and other monitoring/alerting software
• Web-based architecture (web servers, load balancing, caching, databases, replication, etc.)
Nice to have:
• proficient in spoken and written German
• iSCSI SAN experience
• experience with new technologies like docker, graphite, kibana / logstash / elasticsearch, zookeeper, storm, kafka, mesos
* Certifications & Licenses: Degree in software engineering (nice to have) |
