1. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of project health and safety policies and procedures.
2. Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
3. Participate in job hazard analyses (JHA), risk assessments, and daily safety inspections.
4. Support hazardous material management, including chemical storage, labeling, and waste handling.
5. Assist with industrial hygiene activities such as air monitoring, noise assessments, and PPE compliance.
6. Incident and Emergency Support
- Support investigation of incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Assist in preparing incident reports and corrective action tracking.
- Participate in emergency response drills, including chemical spill and fire response scenarios.
7. Training and Safety Culture
- Assist in delivering safety orientations and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
- Support safety meetings and site communications to reinforce safety awareness.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage reporting of hazards and near-misses.
8. Equipment and Site Safety
- Verify compliance with equipment safety requirements, including machine guarding and lockout/tagout (LOTO).
- Assist engineering and construction teams with safe work planning.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and report deviations.
