IDB will sign a collaboration agreement with a market leading company (IDB’s Partner Institution), Santiago, Chile, dedicated to transforming and consolidating a new model of economic, social, and urban development for the city that improves territorial well-being indicators through innovation. Based on this collaboration agreement, technical support will be provided to contribute to the implementation of its innovation project (Project), which aims to develop a unified digital platform that modernizes and streamlines the management of permits, certifications, online services, and citizen complaints. For this technical support, PTI/CTI is looking for Web Developer Consultant, with knowledge and experience in developing and implementing secure, user-centered digital platforms, possessing strong skills in web development, cloud computing, UX/UI design, data management, and integration of interoperable systems, ideally within government or regulated environments.
[What you’ll do]
In close communication and coordination with the PTI/CTI Specialist (Supervisor) in the respective IDB Country Office, the KTC will:
• Provide technical and/or technological support for the preparation, implementation and/or monitoring of initiatives tailored to the specific business need of the IDB’s Partner Institution under its innovation agenda; and
• Perform supportive tasks on the coordination of relevant organizations and/or involved contractors under the guidance and in close coordination with the Supervisor and Project’s team leader.
Specifically, under the framework of the collaboration agreement with the IDB’s Partner Institution, and the guidance of Project’s team leader, the KTC is expected to provide technical support to contribute to:
• Design, develop, and implement a centralized digital platform for managing municipal permits, certifications, payments, and citizen complaints with secure user authentication.
• Build and maintain real-time tracking and notification systems to keep citizens informed about the status of their requests via email, SMS, and push notifications.
• Integrate online citizen support features, including live chat, ticketing, and automatic routing of inquiries to relevant departments or social programs.
• Develop internal management dashboards for municipal staff to efficiently review, process, and respond to service requests and monitor performance.
• Ensure platform accessibility, responsive design, and data security compliance, including digital signatures, document validation, and secure online payment processing.
• Other related activities as requested and agreed with the Supervisor.
