주요업무내용
The possessor of this job position is responsible for the conception and the efficient, fact-based and independent processing of Pre-IIM (development/research of prototypes) and IIM projects (development of products) of his/ her field based on such conception in coordination with his/her superior leader in the laboratory.

Project Conception and Management
The possessor of this job position plans/ designs/ manages complex pre-IIM/ IIM projects according to BDF process guidelines in cooperation with superior laboratory leader and generates ideas for new projects. He/ She independently leads formula development and is responsible for the acquisition of information, the coordination with the laboratory leader, the department leader and cooperating professional functions, the creation of project briefings as well as the planning and implementation of necessary trials & tests including the creation of reports according to BDF quality and safety standards.
He/ She ensures projects to be finished on time and in full.
In addition in his/her projects, he/she helps establish and maintain contacts with internal partners & external partners (universities, agencies, raw material suppliers, 3PM suppliers and other institutes).
Implementation of Special Efficacy Tests
The possessor of this job position implements special tests on products & formulas in agreement with the superior laboratory leader according to the schedules and project timings. Tests, which are indispensable yet cannot be implemented in their own fields, will be planned and initiated on behalf of, for example, microbiology, R&D-services and so on.
He/ She constantly compares his/her own work techniques with those of other labs and points out to his/her superior necessary adjustments or refinements to the applied lab protocols. He/ She is responsible for on-going maintenance of the test methods in terms of further standardization and optimization potentials.
Results Evaluation & Documentation
The possessor of this job position is responsible for a scientifically correct documentation and reporting of his/her results. The documentation shall be made continuously throughout the projects with the latest information available normally as written reports or, if necessary, as English presentations in internal meetings with cooperating expert departments in R & D, Brands and/or Supply Chain. Based on the results, the job holder develops concepts for future projects in consultation with his/her superior.
Patents
In the purpose of protecting own work results, the possessor of this job position shall work with the superior and patent coordinator to conduct researches in patents according to the BDF processes and guidelines. Working with the superior, the patent coordinator and the patent department, he/she shall formulate, if necessary, his/her own invention reports and texts according to Beiersdorf processes.
Development in Knowledge
The possessor of this job position is self-motivated to maintain and expand his/her expertise by regularly studying the literature, patents and databases as well as participating in conferences and, after consulting the department head, seminars and explore new technologies and new raw material alternatives. He/ She should do market visits, store checks, attend consumer researches to understand consumers, competitors and market developments. The update shall be according to the latest development of BDF strategy and equally new scientific-technological developments.
Supervision
The possessor of this job position shall guide interns as well as associate researchers in sub-field within the scope of his/her project developments. Responsible for the trainings of new employees.
Laboratory Safety
The possessor of this job position shall be responsible in his/her working field for the safety of the necessary laboratory facilities and, if necessary, inform the superior about indispensable measures. He/ She is in charge of maintenance, occupational health and safety, as well as personal protection measures in consultation with his/her superior. He/ She shall regularly keep up to date on the current regulations and guidelines and be responsible for the implementations thereof.
Interfaces
The possessor of this job position is responsible for maintaining interfaces to other departments within the R&D organization and, if necessary, to marketing and Supply Chain, taking responsibility in the exchange of information with employees from cooperating professional functions. He/ She helps to build up and maintain the interfaces towards external partners with respect to company policies, company compliance rules and confidential agreements.
